we've been watching videos of the legend of Awarua the taniwha the monster that lives in the sea.

she has a friend called Rereroa the albatross.

Awarua wanted to fly but she couldn't so she asked Rereroa

Abebe Bikila

 

Abebe won two gold medals and he did it in bare feet the first time. He was very determined to not let anything stop him including an operation to win the gold in the second marathon.

In class, we have been studying the Olympics and I have learnt there are many different sports that you can compete in.  There are lots of different areas of sport like in this picture.

 Studying Olympics i have learnt that there are other important people other than the athletes. People like Arthur  are important too being the coach. He helped his students get gold medals.

Experiment

For reading we did a Experiment about water evaporation.we tipped water on the concrete and drew a circle around it with chalk.then we went back inside then we went back outside and it shrunk.  The water had evaporated.
